The programme is in a modular format and comprises ten taught modules. This will include an Induction session looking at advanced study skills, a Birmingham orientation session, an introduction to the course, an outline of expectation and the programme
of required assignments.

Modules 1 to 9 are the taught elements of the course, representing 30 hours of taught time per module. The Service Learning Experience (work-based learning opportunity) in Birmingham runs parallel to the core courses

The final Transition module will involve the completion of a community development project plan and presentation of the report project on the Service Learning Experience. As a finale to the programme students will present their work back to the cohort and as individuals develop an additional project relevant to their own communities.
